Sasquatch Where He Shouldn't Be is an art concept that I've had for years!
Back in 2016, I went to an art prompt generator and this was the prompt presented. For whatever reason, I thought it would be so strange to see Sasquatch at a pool. At the time, I worked exclusively with colored pencils and pens, I had never painted anything in my life!
A few years later, in 2018, when I started to teach myself painting with watercolor, I revisited the concept and repainted Sasquatch at the pool. It's so strange to see a ginger sasquatch, but I do love his green eyes and expression.
Finally, in 2020, I revisited the concept for a final time and painted Sasquatch at the water park. This version is heavily inspired by one of my favorite childhood books, "Escape of Marvin the Ape".
I'm currently continuing this series with Sasquatch in additional places, like a pumpkin patch! Future places might be the Space Needle, the Grand Canyon, and even the Great Wall of China!
